WE'RE CARBON NEUTRAL
We’re proud as (wonky fruit infused) punch to ay that DASH is a carbon neutral company.
And for us, that really means what it says on the can. We learned that we could officially become carbon neutral by measuring and offsetting our organisational emissions, but we wouldn't need to offset the emissions associated with our products.
This wasn’t good enough. For us, our organisational emissions equalled just 1% of the CO2 we had measured, so instead, we aimed for 100%.
That meant measuring everything from sourcing wonky fruit from our farms, to manufacturing our cans, right through to the delivery of our drinks.
However, we couldn’t have done this alone, so we partnered with four incredible organisations: Ecologi, which helps businesses take climate action; Respira, a carbon finance business; CarbonCloud, who helped us calculate the climate footprint of our products; and Planet Mark, who helped us measure our organisational emissions and carried out our organisational carbon neutral certification. Together we were able to measure and offset much more of our carbon output.
Of course, there's always more we can do, and always so much more to learn - but this week’s announcement proves that if we all aim high and work together, we can achieve more than is expected of us. Our next focus will be on reducing our footprint and setting out our pathway to Net Zero - watch this space!
