Fighting Food Waste

Globally, almost 40% of food produced is wasted, amounting to 2.5 billion tonnes every year. At DASH, our mission to tackle endemic food waste has two key elements.

WHAT’S WONKY?

    We want to change the attitudes about “wonky” produce and to highlight that imperfections should be accepted as natural and celebrated for being unique. We hope this will help us bring an end to irresponsible buying behaviours and to see nutritious fruit and vegetables of all shapes and sizes in retail aisles.

    We infuse our super tasty waters with real, wonky fruit. That’s the bent, crushed, curved, knobbly, misshapen fruit which others say no to. By accepting misfits we are helping to fight food waste. You can read more about our commitment to food waste reduction here.
